Alice Bowe, author of High-Impact, Low-Carbon Gardening, was featured in Anni Gatti's January 8 Sunday Times article about permeable surfaces in the eco-friendly garden.
"Alice Bowe [...] says that, when selecting materials, you should try to ensure rainwater can drain away from at least half of your plot. Paths can be improved by laying stones or slabs on beds of sand or crushed stone (even better if you use stone that's already in the garden), and by spreading sand between the joints".
